Each capsule of Bio-K IBS Control has targeted release technology (enteric coating ) that ensures the bacteria survive the passage through the intestinal tract.
In clinical studies, an improvement of 90% in stool consistency was seen in about 12 weeks. A vegan and gluten-free formula that contains Bio-K+’s clinically proven formula of Lactobacillus acidophilus CL1285®, Lactobacillus casei LBC80R® and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CLR2.
Enteric-coated, Vegan, Gluten-free
Medicinal ingredients: Active cultures of L. acidophilus CL1285®, L. casei LBC80R® and L. rhamnosus CLR2®.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Cellulose, hypromellose, yeast extract, dextrose, ascorbic acid, magnesium
stearate, ethylcellulose, sodium alginate, silicon dioxide, medium-chain triglycerides, titanium dioxide.
Adults
1 to 2 capsules per day to help maintain good digestive health
2 to 3 capsules if you are taking antibiotics
Capsules can be taken at any time of day. For use with antibiotic courses, take a capsule at least 2 hours before or after taking your antibiotic dose, in order to prevent the antibiotic from eliminating the probiotic bacteria.
It is strongly recommended not to open any capsule, as their component probiotic bacteria may be greatly affected by acidity and bile salts during their passage through the gastrointestinal tract, thereby impeding the product’s effectiveness.
Warning:
Safe for children and seniors, provided they are able to swallow the capsule.
Capsules should not be opened, crushed or chewed.
Should symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhea) occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days, discontinue use and consult a health professional. This product has been in contact with milk. If you are allergic to milk, do not use this product. Do not use if the safety seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are experiencing nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain. Do not use if you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment). Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
