It is rich in the active constituents Annonaceous acetogenins. These phytochemicals are continually being researched internationally for their active biological actions and effects on the immune system.

Raintree Graviola is from the Peruvian Amazon rainforets and has been tested to show that it is more potent than others on the market; it is sustainably harvested unlike most South American imported herbs.

The herb is also traditionally used to support the immune system, as an antimicrobial (external & internal), to treat internal parasites & worms, for fungal & bacterial infections, stress, depression, high blood pressure and nervous disorders.

Graviola comes in 600mg capsules, with 100 capsules per bottle. It contains pure concentrated ground leaf and stem of the tree, with no added binders, fillers, or additives. The contents is made from finely ground and milled herb. Graviola whole leaf and stem powder is always preferable compared to extracts; the various extraction processes can miss out valuable active phytochemicals and we only use such processes on specific products.

Graviola is the common name of Annona muricata, a plant that is found in the tropics. It is a small and upright evergreen tree that can grow 5-6 meters high. It is characterized by its large, broad, glossy and green leaves that are interestingly shaped like a heart. The fruit is not used in our products but is known as soursop in many parts of the world, specifically in Mexico, Central America, Cuba and the Caribbean. The tree grows well in dry places, although it has adapted well to areas with high humidity and relatively warm winters. It is indigenous to North and South America and most notably, in the Amazon.

The flavour of the fruit is characterized by its sour citrus notes and is likened to that of strawberries and pineapple, although some would describe it as having the creamy consistency of banana or coconut.
