Melatonin is a neuro-hormone (amino acid) naturally produced in the pineal gland in the brain and present in high amounts in the gastrointestinal tract. It is involved in many of the body, brain and glandular biological functions including regulation of normal sleep/wake cycles. This liquid format allows for controlled dosing, and is sweetened with low glycemic sweeteners, including Xylitol. All natural flavours.

Each ¼ tsp [approx. 20 drops] contains: Melatonin 3 mg
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Water, Vegetable Glycerine, Fructose, Xylitol, Ethanol, Organic Orange Extract (Citrus sinensis), Natural Vanilla Flavour (Vanilla planifolia), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Natural Lemon Oil (Citrus limon) and Flavex-LC Natural Flavour.
Shake well. Take ¼ teaspoon (approx. 20 drops) just prior to bedtime as needed. Take directly or add to your favourite beverage. For use beyond 4 weeks, consult a health care practitioner.
Consult a health care practitioner if you have a hormonal disorder, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, migraine, depression, hypertension, if you are taking blood pressure or sedative/hypnotic medications, or if chronic insomnia persists continuously for more than 4 weeks. Do not use if you are taking immunosuppressive drugs or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking. Warning: Xylitol is harmful to pets.
