Product Description

Vitamin K2 by AOR contains both forms of vitamin K2 in balanced amounts, most of the formulas on the market only focus on one form of vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is an essential nutrient for our bones, liver health, and the cardiovascular system.

Vitamin K2 has several different forms, but only two are frequently used in supplements. The two forms are menaterennone (MK-4) this is commonly found in animal tissue and Menaquinone-7 (MK-7) which is found in fermented soy foods.

Bone Health

Our Bones are a living tissue that is always undergoing remodelling. There are many key nutrients that play a role in proper bone re-modelling like calcium, vitamin D, vitamin C, zinc, and magnesium.  The connection between vitamin K and calcium is relatively new. The family of vitamin k has many exclusive forms: Vitamin k1 (phylloquinone) is found in plants, while vitamin k2 (menaquinone) is created by bacteria after fermentation. When is comes to bone health vitamin k controls osteocalcin which is a protein for the mineralization of bone, osteocalcin is is the sticky glue fir calcium to attach to the new bone. Studies show that when vitamin K is supplemented in diets the can improve osteoporosis and reduce fractures.
