How do you know Autumn has arrived?
Crunchy leaves, trees awash with colour, cool rainy days, early sunsets and PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES!
As much as we love pumpkin spice, we don’t love all the added sugars and artificial flavours, not to mention the coffee shop price tag. YIKES!! Instead of spending your hard earned money, try making this delicious PSL at home and enjoy the flavours of autumn anytime you like!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup + 1/8 milk of your choice (FeelGood Tip: Use a high protein milk to give your PSL an energy boost)
- 1-2 shots of espresso or 8 ounces strong brewed coffee (FeelGood Tip: for a caffeine free version try Dandelion coffee)
- 3-4 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (or sweetener of your choice)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon on top
Directions
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk and pumpkin puree on low heat until it starts to simmer.
- Once lightly simmering, add in your pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and honey and allow to simmer for 1 minute (longer for a stronger spice flavour)
- Remove from heat, and pour into your mug using a fine mesh strainer to remove pumpkin pulp.
- Add brewed espresso or coffee to your mug.
- If you have a milk frother available, use it to froth 1/8 cup milk to top your latte and achieve that coffee shop style latte)
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Enjoy homemade Autumn in a cup!
